Maggie’s Organics
Opportunity Threads wouldn’t be here without the vision and support of the wonderful folks at Maggie’s Organics. They have provided us not only with the vision to start a worker-owned cut and sew facility, but start-up loans, consulting, design work, and support. Our first project with Maggie’s was Maggie’s Menagerie followed by the Barnyard Series, designed by Carlos at Opportunity Threads. We are currently working with Maggie’s to expand our work with them to include apparel and accessories. Click on their link to see the unique products we have made in collaboration with Maggie’s.

Workers United, Western NC Workers’ Center
The Western North Carolina Workers’ Center works to improve the wages, benefits, and working conditions of low-wage workers by developing leadership among workers and partnering with churches, community organizations, and progressive labor leaders to serve as allies to low-wage workers. The Workers’ Center housed Opportunity Threads for the first few months of its development. We continue to share space and the vision for just working conditions for all workers.
